Well made film with good performances..
I'm very happy to see Randeep Hooda in a notable role...

Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi all did well, good casting, indeed!

Songs were nice, but did not make much of an impact in the film, except for Tum Jo Aaye Reprice...
Sad to see the song 'Im in love' missing in the film, but ya, there was no place for that..

Director seemed to be in a hurry towards the ending..
Anyway, very good attempt..

Aisha Movie Review

Director: Rajshree Ojha
Cast: Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Cyrus Sahukar etc

Kudos to Rajshree Ojha for directing a watchable movie from a ZERO script!!
Movie doewsnt bore us at most of the places, due to fresh and cheerful performances from everybody, and the music by The Great Amit Trivedi.

Everybody did well, to name a few, Aisha, Shefali, Arjun...
No no, i will have to put the entire cast here for this!!!


Rajshree Ojha, you really rock!!!!

Udaan Movie Review

Director: Vikramaditya Motwane
Cast: Ram Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Manjot Singh etc..

A good film from the director Vikramadithya Motwane.

The protagonist boy acted very well and other actors were also good.

Amit Trivedi's BGM rocked, there was no much scope for the songs in the movie, except my favorite 'Naav'

Recommended for serious film lovers.

Prince: Its Showtime Movie Review

Director: Kookie Gelati
Cast: Vivek Oberoy, Aruna Shields, Neeru Singh, Nandana Sen etc

While watching Vivek Oberoi's Action-Packed movie, i seriously doubted whether the tagline of the movie is 'Its Showtime' or 'Anything Can Happen'.
Seriously, the apt tagline was the latter, you also will realize that while watching the movie.
So, whats the movie all about?
A 'superchor' Vivek Oberoi struggling to get back his memories, as his memory is 'cut' and 'pasted' to a computer hard disk!!!
A set of Maya-s (Hottest>Hotter>Hot)one after another, telling Vivek that she is the real Maya, no, the previous one is not!!
Some not-so-cool gadgets and some misplaced songs..
Some hard-to digest stunts and bike jumps..

Prince is all about these things..
The concept was kinda ok, but the director failed to narrate it in an engaging way..
The twists, the turns, the thrills all failed to impress the audience.

Vivek Oberoi did a decent job, so as Aruna Shields..
But Neeru Singh, Nandana Sen all were not at all upto the mark...
The guy who played Sarang was somewhat fine, but the character was so underdeveloped that he was helpless..

About the music of the film, Sachin Gupta did a decent job, the songs were my favorite for a time being, but they also does not create any effect in the movie.
I wish the producers read the script and try visualising them in their minds, before making a movie..
Good concepts may not always create good movies..

So, thats all Prince is about.

Sadiyaan Movie Review

Director: Raj Kanwar
Cast: Luv Sinha, Rishi Kapoor, Rekha, Hemamalini, etc
Well made film, set in the early 70's.
The huge miscast was the heroine, and the hero also, to an extent.
Heroine was utterly wasted, and the hero Luv Sinha (son of former director Shatrughan Sinha) tried to do well, but could not do much..

But the sparkling part of the film is the performances by Rishi KApoor, Rekha and Hema Malini..

The music was very good, it was done by dnan Sami.
Atleast 4 songs are memorable..

This director Raj Kanwar shot the film with beautiful locations andf all, with a good story also...
But the lead pair was a huge miscast ,which eventually affected the movie..

A Rehash of the Golden Memories!!!!

It was 1999, I was a small kid then. My world was full of Books, Cricket and Mickey Mouse.. I used to travel to my Ammaatth almost every weekend, with my Perasshi's son Sajith Mathoor, whom i fondly call Kuttettan. We used to have lot of fun there. It was a very nice house with lot of Mangoes and many other things to eat. Since her husband worked in another district then, my Perasshi used to stay there with her father and mother (who are my mutthasshi and mutthasshan). She had two kids, one being Kuttettan and the other, his elder sister Soumya. We use to call her Soumya Oppol. We were enjoying the golden moments of our childhood there, with other visiting cousins such as Naveen Ettan, Shini Oppol, Rinju Oppol, Anju Oppol, Arun, Sreejith Ettan, Chithra, Hari etc. My brother was too young that time, that he could not get much involved in our activities. Even then, he showed his presense now and then, by some fights with me!! My Mutthasshan, Sri. A.K. Raman Namboothiri was the Panchayath Precident of Vellinezhi Gramapanchayath back in the 1970s. This thing, and more significantly him being the head of such a Royal family helped him find a high position in the society.
Nobody who met my Mutthasshan can deny the fact that his behavior and character was extremely gentle and kind. Thats the reason why everybody respected him a lot, and decided to celebrate his 84th birthday in a grand manner.
We were so much excited when we came to know that our Mutthasshan's birthday is going to be celebrated, that we even did not care to remember that there are 4-5 months remaining for the function. As part of the birthday function, a series of Cultural Programmes were planned, which would be performed by various members of the family. We could not stay back, we are the kids and we have to show our potential!
So we planned to perform skits, and we selected few stories for that. The stories were mostly selected from Namboothiri Phalitham, Balamangalam and few TV programs like Comi-Cola. We started practicing them, the scripting and direction were done by Kuttettan. Sreejith Ettan, who is the son of my Ammaaman also joined us.
The practice went on, and the special day was arriving..
Apart from our programs, there were also cinematic dances by Anju Oppol, Rinju Oppol, Soumya Oppol, Sreeja Oppol etc. Another team for the cinematic dance was the Thrikkadeeri team, apologies, I dont recollect most of their names. :(
Finally the day arrived, and the cultural function was planned on the previous night of the birthday. Mutthasshan came to the stage, accompanied by us, the 'Kids team'. I cant stop mentioning about my outfit that time, it was in a piece of Lungi, and a fake moustache.moustache, which were obviously the part of my make-up for the skit. :P
Few younger cousins of mine were scared to see this 'Goon Look' of mine. A lot of speeches by various relatives took place, and few Kavitha-s by Pallissery Ramettan, Seetha Ammaayi etc followed, all of them praising Mutthasshan.
Kuttettan also spoke about Mutthasshan, in a minute he broke down to tears and ran away from the stage.
Then the programs started, and we performed our skits.
The dances and the songs were also very good, we could see many people singing, whom in the past, we had never seen even humming a tune. Few notable performances were 'Jack and Kill' by Narayanan Ammaaman, Ligh Music by Lekha Ammaayi, Radhakrishnan Ammaaman, Fire dance by some Ettan (Sorry about not mentioning the name :( i dont remember, really..), Classical Music by Mahesh Ettan, rhymes by Saju, Prabhath, mimicry by Rohith etc etc...
My extreme apologies to all those whom i missed out in the list...
We got the VHS of the function after few months, that time CDs were not so popular. We used to watch it whenever we got a chance, pure NOSTALGIA!!!
Mutthasshan passed away in 2003, but he is alive in our hearts, for ever.. Later after so many years, now we realise the fact that how stupid our performances were, and we were appreciated by everybody just because of our sincere attempt!!!

Milenge Milenge Movie Review

Director: Satish Kaushik
Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Aarti Chhabria etc

The much delayed film of the (ex)much celebrated couple, shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, directed by Satish Kaushik.
A film on which i had no expectation, as i never like Kareena Kapoor and looking at the promos itself, she looked aweful and Shahid had a childish look, all went boring, except for two-three good tracks, composed by the then-composer only Himesh Reshammiya.
But after reading Taran Adarsh's review, i had some hope on the film, and i watched the movie today...

Its a movie which would have been a superhit if released in 2005 itself...
Its a typical lovestory with many good moments, and many cliches also(obvious!)

The concept of this movie is nice, eventhough its not so new, it is based on Missing Connection and all...
Its executed in a way that the things can be digested by us if we watch it in the sense that its a film only, not a reality.

For me, this movie is Satish Kaushik's best till date. I felt this to be better than the Emosional melodrama Tere Naam..
The scriptwriter manages to deliver a script which is mostly consistent...

And the funny thing is that, despite the fact that everyone knows this is a delayed film, the producers have tried to make a feel that the film is new and fresh product!!
Yes, they have added a songs from Salman Khan's Wanted and No Entry in 2 situations of the movie, to make a feeling that Milenge Milenge was done after these movies...
Also, they have included a promotional song feat, the present Shahid Kapoor...
Leave all those, let me come to the movie..
Regarding the performances, Shahid and Kareena have almost equal screen space, and both deliver decent performances..
Aarti Chhabria was also good, the guy who played Kareena's boyfriend was somewhat boring...
Satish Kaushik good as always, in the 5-10 nminute role...

The two versions of title track were nice, and Tum Chain Ho was also nice..
If you guys have songs of this movie, listen to title track version 2, its sung by Himesh Reshammiya in a non-nasal voice!
My friend was shocked when he came to know that its sung by Himesh.

On the whole, Milenge Milenge would have been a very profitable venture for Surinder Kapoor if released on Dec 23, 2005 itself...
Anyway according to box office reports, the film recovered its costs, the movie did better than expected in the box office.
The film deserved a higher success...
