The Train Movie Review

Directors: Raksha Mistry and Hasain Hyderabadwala
Cast: Emraan Hashmi, Geeta Basra, Sayali Bhagat, Aseem Merchant, Suresh Menon etc

The Train, an illegal adaptation of 'Derailed', is a good attempt from the director duo, Raksha Mistry and Hasain Hyderabadwala.
The movie hits the right chord, it is emotional, has good songs, and carries a brilliant performance by the male protagonist Emraan Hashmi. However, the second lead lady, 'Sayali Bhagat' is below average, acting wise. She is not able to carry out several sequences properly. The first lead lady Geeta Basra, on the other hand, is surprisingly good at her role. Suresh Menon is irritating in most of the scenes. The villain Aseem Merchant is awesome. And the climax is excellent.

The music by Mithoon is another big plus point, he is a very good composer, for sure. Thought 3 songs sounded similar, they were nice.

On the whole, The Train is a good movie, worth a watch.

6.5/10

Fun fact: there are two more adaptations for 'Derailed', a Tamil film 'Pachaikili Muthucharam' and a Sinhala film 'Dakina Dakina Mal'.
